SCHOOL LOGO

A2STEAM was so new when I arrived as a teacher, that they didn't even have a logo! I created an all school competition for a new logo to represent our STEAM spirit. The logo was voted on by the whole school community, and then I and another teacher worked with the top 3 designers to create 3 final images to be voted on for our final school logo!

SCHOOL MASCOT

MS students design school mascot! With the school logo complete, we realized our new school needed a new mascot to cheer our teams on and give us greater school spirit. With hundreds of student suggested mascots from STEAM ENGINE to ROBOFOX staff and faculty voted on the final mascot. From there my MS Design students created Phoenix mascots in Adobe Illustrator which were then voted on by a small team of staff and faculty.

GREEN THE WAY

A2STEAM students worked with a partner to design a sculpture for the new Green The Way park system in Ann Arbor, MI   Students used Adobe Photoshop to place their sculpture on a location along the new path system. Two of my teams won, first place $1500 cash, and 2nd place $1000 cash. Not a bad start as budding designers!

Lending Library

The newly renovated school at A2STEAM was amazing, but the 2nd floor, the MS floor, had not been updated. The students wanted to call something their own, something special and new for their hallway, so they decided on a lending library/reading nook. A place where they could hang out and share and read. Students designed their vision on roomstyler, and then collaborated to collect materials and redesign their hallway!
